We’re happy to welcome three new interns to the Immerge team! At Immerge, our marketing interns work on real life projects, like site content, designing marketing materials, and writing blog posts. You can read more about them below.
Brittany joined Immerge in January of 2017. Brittany is a junior at James Madison University, majoring in Marketing with minors in Economics and Communication Studies. During the summer of 2016, she studied abroad in Antwerp, Belgium, giving her a concentration in European Business. Though she has only worked at Immerge for a short time, Brittany has previously taken an Integrated Marketing Communications class at JMU where she and a group of classmates created an IMC plan for a local business. She hopes to use those skills at Immerge in the upcoming months. She has previously worked at a wedding and event planning business in Charlottesville, Virginia, and is currently a volunteer leader for Young Life.
Kaitlyn joined Immerge in October of 2016. She is a senior at James Madison University, majoring in Media Arts & Design with a concentration in Converged Media. Previously, she interned with CFA Institute and Center for Open Science in Charlottesville. During her sophomore and junior years she worked in the JMU communications department as part of the Daily Duke team, creating content and graphics. Beside interning at Immerge, she also currently works as a Developer at JMU’s office of Technology and Design. She is the Editor-In-Chief of the JMU literature & arts magazine, Gardy Loo, as well as the Art Director for the JMU news magazine, Port & Main.
Raquel joined Immerge in January of 2017. She is a senior at James Madison University, studying Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Converged Media and is minoring in Art, British Communication and Media, and Computer Information Systems. She has a diverse skillset in marketing, web and graphic design, and systems analyzing. She has interned as a junior art director for KO Creative in Los Angeles, CA. Besides working at Immerge, she also interns at JMU’s marketing and communication office, where she writes for the Daily Duke blog, and Confections Cupcakery. Her skills are used to market local businesses on social media including innovative platforms such as Snapchat.
